The use of the number 490 in our name is taken from the Bible verse Matthew 18:22 where 490 is the result of the calculation 70x7. In the verse Jesus emphasizes the importance of the responsibility to show forgiveness.

There are many sections in the site as you notice. All content in the Showcase and e-cards sections is original 490Live.com (exclusive) material.

Most of the articles in the Inspired and Comedy areas come to us from emails from others and is not our property, but is specially selected by us for use on the site. We try to provide proper author-info wherever we can. But mostly when these emails reach us that info is not included. Since this site is non-commercial, we figured that the original authors would not be concerned.

The Art Gallery is a project we started to promote the work of Christian artist. Thanks a lot to all who have contributed to the collection. All art pieces were submitted by the actual artists and their credits/contact information is shown.

The Scripture Forum is another project we started to create an abstract collection of inspirational and thought provoking scriptures/ with comments. Our visitors on the site and team members post them there.

The Prayer Room is a more recent addition to 490live.com. Visitors can post their prayer request on the site so that all visitors can help by praying for these requests. Visitors can send us prayer request privately and our pray-team gets those requests.

Our last main section to mention is a project we called Wired. We want to be able to allow Christians who would like to have a site of their own to have a start-up point.
